One of the best ways to feel inspired is to embrace the season you are in, wholeheartedly. Don't wish away Winter, waiting for Spring - find great things to do that fit the season, and live in the moment. Summer is easy for us all to embrace - so here's how we're doing it at Mantra:
When the weather is warmer and the sky is brighter the last thing you want is stodgy carb-loaded food. Instead we’re reaching for salad recipes and exciting new ways to get more vegetables into our diet. I have found that the best way to make salads the top of your food list is to get creative, my absolute favourite is adding griddled courgette to make warm salads, and to focus on dressings full of bold flavours to make your salad as moreish as a bowl of ice-cream. For the perfect inspiration follow Deliciously Ella on Pinterest.
Fill your house with scent and joyful colour, they’re the perfect mini treat and a quick way to bring Summer right into your bedroom. I head to my local greengrocers to pick up bargain blooms, they’re a beautiful thing to see first thing in the morning and it’s always good to treat yourself!
I was smashing the gym from January to March, and then with moving house and mini breaks, my momentum really took a hit. Now I’m all settled into my new house I have no excuse, so it’s back to running for me. I’ve bought a running belt and new headphones as I find that investing in the hobby gives me a kick start to get back on the holiday bod mind-set. What better way to get going than some inspiring park runs in the evening light? I can’t wait.
I’ve had a 2016 Pinterest board since January 1st and there I pin all of the things I want to do this year. They’re mostly bands I want to see, places I want to go and gymspiration, but I’ve been loving ticking things off the list. Sometimes the Summer can run away with you so make a little bucket list for 2016 to remind you of all the little things you’d love to do. This Summer I still need to visit Paris, go to an outdoor cinema, have a glass of champagne in Bob Bob Ricard in London and try lobster!

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams
May your joys be as deep as the ocean
Sail away from the harbour, explore, dream, discover
Wear your mantra!
We work to live, not live to work, so wear a mantra daily that reminds you that you may be sitting at your desk while the sun is shining, but you’re bossing it, and all that hard work pays off. Sometimes I wear them layered up, sometimes I choose one simple mantra to enhance my day, but there's no better way to embrace the Summer than with a sunny mantra!
